Weezer

Weezer’s 1994 debut, commonly called the Blue Album, paired bright guitar hooks with Rivers Cuomo’s offbeat, vulnerable songwriting; Pinkerton (1996) took a rougher and more personal approach that found a much larger audience over time. The band has kept that contrast between polished power-pop and left turns alive across a long run of albums, with the core quartet together since 2001. In 2024 Weezer revisited the Blue Album on its 30th-anniversary tour. In 2026 the band released a new self-titled album and launched The Gathering, bringing new songs back into a catalogue built over three decades.
